About us:

The Victorian Equine Group runs two facilities, the Bendigo Equine Hospital and The Victorian Equine Reproduction Consultancy (Nagambie area). The practice employs nine full time equine veterinarians, and between August and January, additional seasonal veterinarians. We see a busy and varied caseload encompassing both first opinion and referral surgical and medical cases. The practice services a number of Thoroughbred and Standardbred studs in the area. As such the practice enjoys its busiest time of year in the spring when many neonatal foals and stud related cases are hospitalised.

About the position:

Your primary responsibility will be the day-to-day care of hospital cases under the supervision of a senior veterinarian. This will include intensive neonatal care, anaesthesia and post operative monitoring of surgical cases.

Be involved in the treatment of in house patients, anaesthesia of horses for surgery, and assist with cases ranging from lameness, to colic work ups, to the breeding of mares.  You will gain considerable experience in all aspects of equine veterinary medicine, taking advantage of the knowledge and guidance of our two registered equine specialists and other senior vets.

About you:
