Apiam Animal Health is seeking a veterinarian with 2+ years swine consultancy experience to join our swine services team.
The right candidate with a strong background in mixed practice services will also be considered.
If you are a recently graduated veterinarian with a genuine interest in pigs, we encourage you to contact us.
Based in Bendigo, Central Victoria and part of a friendly national team of specialised pig veterinarians, you will provide preventative health programs, disease investigation, production data analysis and biosecurity auditing services to a loyal progressive client base.
You will learn from those around you (we take two vets on many farm visits) in addition to other professional development opportunities including undertaking a competency-based training program and spending time with industry leaders, both in Australia and internationally. You will also have the opportunity to attend industry events and trade shows to further improve your knowledge of swine health and production and to increase your industry networking opportunities.
You will be encouraged to bring new ideas and actively contribute to the future development of the services and products that the Apiam pig team will provide to clients into the future.
You will have plenty of tools to play with to investigate acute and chronic disease problems and put preventative programs in place. If you have a passion for analysing data, applied research or developing new tools, you will be provided with opportunities to develop these areas.
You will travel away from home occasionally and will get to experience many parts of the Australian countryside and other pig areas of the world.
Competitive salaries, paid AVA membership, paid volunteer leave and a package that includes a company-maintained vehicle are some of the perks.
Come and join the dedicated Apiam swine health veterinarians.
