An experienced companion animal veterinarian is required to join our country mixed practice at Kyabram to lead our small animal team.
This mixed practice services an extensive dairy community as well as a growing equine client base. We have a solid loyal and growing base of small animal clients and our vets strive to deliver a very high standard of care whilst building and sharing skills in a positive and enjoyable work environment. The practice is well equipped with all the expected gear to deliver quality care to small animals including full Idexx laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound, and more. We can refer cases for CT and specialist procedures to our flagship small animal practice Fur Life Vet in Bendigo.
Because our small animal work is growing, this is a newly developed position in our team, being clinic-based and responsible for managing and growing the small animal side of the practice.
You will be part of our local management team, joining the Large Animal Team Leader, Clinic Coordinator and Clinical Lead Veterinarian, with the support of our Regional Lead.
The successful applicant will be an experienced small animal veterinarian (or experienced mixed vet who now wishes to focus on small animals) You will have membership with ANZCVS or be working towards this goal with your area of special interest. We will support your continuing education to develop this interest. Your ability to lead a small team with your excellent communication and ability to build rapport with your clients and colleagues will be highly regarded.
Practice opening hours are: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5.30pm and Saturday, 8:30am to 12:00pm. The role will involve 1 in 4 weekends. You will work a 9-day fortnight and we can offer flexible working arrangements for the right person.
