We are a well-established and progressive equine veterinary practice that is located on the western fringe of Sydney and we have an exciting opportunity for an Equine Surgeon to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.
A part of the expanding Apiam Animal Health group of regional and rural veterinary clinics across Australia, Agnes Banks Equine Centre is committed to enriching the lives of animals, people and the communities where we live.
Our team are highly skilled, and we are committed to providing routine, emergency and referral equine veterinary care within the Hawkesbury and surrounding areas. We see a truly varied case-load that involves all types of horses and a vast variety of conditions.
The Facilities:
Large exam/treatment/standing surgery suite
Two hospital barns
Surgical suite with separate induction and recovery boxes
State-of-the-art equipment:
Multiple Digital radiography units
Multiple high quality ultrasound units
Nuclear scintigraphy
1 and 3 meter endoscopy and dynamic endoscopy
Arthroscopy
Laparoscopy
Power-float dental equipment
Extracorporeal shockwave therapy
Diode laser unit
Multi-radiance laser
In-house laboratory
Autologous Conditioned Plasma
Remuneration & Benefits:
Competitive salary upwards of $150,000 plus super commensurate with experience
Phone and work vehicle provided.
Up to $5,000 relocation assistance paid.
4 weeks annual leave, 1 week CE leave plus annual allowance, 5 days paid volunteer leave, paid parental leave.
AVA membership and VSB registration paid
Genuine paid support for CE.

Apiam Animal Health is an approved accredited visa sponsor and will assist with visa and relocation for suitably skilled candidates.
About you:
Bachelor of Veterinary Science or equivalent degree which is recognised in Australia
Specialist registration, board eligible or extensive experience following an alternate route of training
Minimum of 3 years (5+ ideal) veterinary experience focused on equine surgery
Excellent communication skills both to clients and colleagues.
Excellent proactive and positive attitude
Ability to participate in the on call roster of 1:3
Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
