A part of the Apiam Animal Health group of regional and rural veterinary clinics across Australia, Fur Life Vet Golden Plains is a busy 5 vet companion animal practice that prides itself on having a great relationship with clients, customer satisfaction and going above and beyond in patient care.
We are seeking a Veterinary Nurse to join us on a full time basis. We can offer you an interesting role as well as a dynamic and supportive team environment.
About the role
General day to day nursing duties to support our Vets and working with your team members to ensure the highest patient care
Reception duties including handling client enquiries in person and over the phone, computer skills for scheduling appointments, managing client accounts, admitting, and discharging patients.
Surgical and hospital nursing including monitoring anaesthetics
Prepare and administers medications as required
Blood collection and testing, iv catheter placement
Assist with x-rays and ultrasounds
Assist with dental scale and polish of dental patients
Sterilization of instruments according to practice sterilization procedures
Hours:
Full time working 76 hours per fortnight including rostered occasional Saturday morning on rotating roster.
