About the Position:

We are looking for an experienced veterinary nurse to join our team.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about implementing their high standards of patient care and can fulfill both hospital and surgical nursing roles as well as reception and some general administration.

As well as this we are looking for someone who will be responsible for nurse administration and supervision of the nursing staff. This position would suit someone with 3+ years of nursing experience who is looking to further their career.

Duties:

• Nurse administration: manage nurse consultations and uphold nursing standards and protocols
• Hospital Supervision: collaborate with the hospital manager to guide and mentor hospital staff
• Hospital nursing: general care of patients as well as catheterization, blood collection etc. as required
• Surgical nursing: general surgical duties including admission, preparation, anaesthetic monitoring, X-ray assistance, equipment care etc.

What you’ll need to succeed:  

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or Veterinary Technician Degree is highly desirable, but we will accept applications from confident and experienced nurses as well.
• 3+ years’ experience with well-rounded nursing skills.
• Ability to mentor trainee nurses andcomfortable with sole charge nursing.
• Registered Veterinary Nurses are highly regarded.
