About the role  
We have two clinics, located in Kempsey and Southwest Rocks. Your time will mainly be spent at our Kempsey clinic in a small animal nursing role however shifts at our other locations are also required.  
 
We are looking for a passionate nurse to implement their high standards of patients care and have the capability to fulfill surgery, hospital, treatment, floating and reception shifts. We offer optional on call shifts if you would like the opportunity to earn an extra income.  

This is a hands-on nursing role, you will need to have the skill set and confidence to place IV catheters, set up fluids, monitor anesthetics using multiparameter monitoring, perform grade 1 dentals and love all things nursing.  

What you’ll need to succeed:   

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or Veterinary Technician Degree is essential  
  • 3+ years’ experience with well-rounded nursing skills.  
  • Availability to work on Saturdays 7am – 1pm is essential  
  • Ability to mentor trainee nurses and comfortable with the occasional sole charge nursing. 
  • Registered Veterinary Nurses are highly regarded.
