About the Position:

We are looking for a full time experienced Veterinary Nurse to complement our team.
We are looking for a passionate nurse to implement their high standards of patient care and have the capability to fulfill both surgical and hospital shifts.

This is a hands-on nursing role for an experienced Nurse; you will need to have the skill set and confidence to place IV catheters, set up fluids, monitor anesthetics using multiparameter monitoring, perform grade 1 dentals and love all things nursing!

Duties:

  • Nurse administration: manage nurse consultations and uphold nursing standards and protocols
  • Hospital Supervision: collaborate with the hospital manager to guide and mentor hospital staff
  • Hospital nursing: general care of patients as well as catheterization, blood collection etc as required
  • Surgical nursing: general surgical duties including admission, preparation, anaesthetic monitoring, X-ray assistance, equipment care etc.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or Veterinary Technician Degree is essential
  • 3+ years’ experience with well-rounded nursing skills and experience with training and mentoring other clinical staff
  • Registered Veterinary Nurses are highly regarded.
