Veterinary Receptionist- The Vet Practice

Seeking a casual veterinary receptionist to complement our team!

We are looking for a friendly, customer-focused and enthusiastic person to complement our team and provide front of house care to our clients and patients.

The Vet Practice is a veterinary practice and canine rehabilitation facility in Whittlesea on the northern outskirts of Melbourne with a great team and great facilities. We believe in providing outstanding patient care and believe in a holistic approach to caring for our patients.

As part of the Apiam Animal Health group of regional and rural veterinary clinics across Australia, The Vet Practice is a fantastic veterinary clinic that prides itself on having a great relationship with clients, customer satisfaction and going above and beyond in patient care.   

  • Providing outstanding customer service over the phone and face-to-face.  
  • Welcoming clients and their pets to the clinic.  
  • Managing appointments for clinical staff.  
  • Liaising with vets and vet nurses to ensure efficient daily scheduling.  
  • Processing invoices and payments.  
  • Ensuring a neat and tidy presentation of the reception and waiting areas.  
  • Previous reception or customer service experience is preferred but not essential as we are willing to train the right person.
  • Animal care knowledge is advantageous. 
  • Must genuinely love helping people and have a mature approach for tricky conversations! 
  • Ability to multi-task with excellent time management skills.   
  • Excellent team player and communicate well with clients, your colleagues and managers.
