Thrill-seeking wine loving swine vet!

Opportunity for a swine veterinarian with 5+ years’ experience to join Australia’s largest swine veterinary group. Based in Bendigo, central Victoria, a vibrant regional city within easy driving distance to Melbourne and all of Victoria’s natural attractions.

With a passion for swine, you will most likely be working in pig practice or having cut your teeth in a production system. You will already have a sound knowledge of pig health and production and are ready make a difference in improving production performance in Australian family run and corporate piggeries.

Whilst applying your knowledge you will also be
developing new skills in herd health, production,
diagnostics, pharmacology, data analysis, epidemiology,training, biosecurity and welfare as well as mentoring a team of dedicated graduate professionals.

You will enjoy and be challenged by working closely with our progressive clients, have the support of a large veterinary and support team and be encouraged to develop your own area of expertise within the business and industry. As a member of Apiam Animal Health, Australia’s largest production animal vet group with over 150 veterinarians, you will also benefit from the knowledge gained by interacting and collaborating with your peers that provide vet, nutrition and genetic services to other production animal species.

Having worked flat out during your working week, you would most likely be drawn to the extensive local wine region in your down time. You will get a five-day week, most likely having also experienced a new wine region, you will get plenty of time to rejuvenate and explore our glorious country further. Of course, a trip or two back home or to another country to expand your knowledge further is also a must.
