Vic Vet Emergency is opening in March 2026, delivering general practice, emergency, and referral care under one integrated banner. Our purpose-built hospital will provide high-quality emergency and critical care to Melbourne’s northern corridor. We’re building a well-resourced ECC team of veterinary nurses who thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. About the Position
We’re looking for veterinary nurses passionate about delivering exceptional emergency and critical care with compassion and confidence. You’ll work alongside ECC veterinarians and nurses, supporting patients through emergency admissions, triage, and critical care procedures.
Key Duties:
- Emergency triage and initial assessment, stabilisation of critical patients, monitoring and nursing care, diagnostic support, surgical & anaesthetic assistance and client communication.
- Working with Emergency Team Leader & Vets to support ECC workflow and contribute to a positive, team-first culture.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or Veterinary Technician Degree
- 2+ years’ experience in an Emergency Referral Hospital setting
- Commitment to promoting a positive workplace culture and continuous improvement.
