Full-Time Equine Veterinary Nurse – Scenic Rim Veterinary Services Beaudesert, QLD

Scenic Rim Veterinary Service is seeking an experienced Equine Veterinary Nurse to join our progressive equine practice in Beaudesert, located in the heart of Southeast Queensland’s thoroughbred and performance horse industry.

Working alongside a highly skilled team, you’ll be exposed to a diverse caseload and advanced equine medicine, surgery, and reproduction services in a supportive, collaborative environment.

About the Role

This full-time position offers a mix of hospital nursing, surgical assistance, patient care, triage, diagnostics, and emergency support.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with equine surgical and medical cases
• Providing high-level patient care and monitoring
• Supporting triage and emergency admissions
• Assisting with diagnostic procedures
• Handling and managing horses safely and confidently

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A minimum of 2 years’ equine nursing experience
• Extensive horse handling skills and confidence working with a variety of equine patients
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• A proactive, team-focused attitude and commitment to high standards of patient care
• Flexibility to participate in after-hours and on-call duties
