The Victorian Equine Group operates Bendigo Equine Hospital and several satellite locations in the Lancefield region, the Nagambie region and in Victoria’s northern regions.

The Bendigo Equine Hospital is a first opinion, referral and 24/7 emergency medical facility. Our team is highly skilled and features both surgical and reproductive specialists, ambulatory and hospital-based clinicians.

At Bendigo Equine Hospital we are to continuing to expand, and so we are seeking another dedicated vet to join our team. We are looking for a clinician who enjoys the variety of general practice and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced hospital environment.

You should be confident in managing daily clinical challenges and be proficient in general equine services. This role offers a unique opportunity to manage a varied caseload whilst having the support of specialists on-site. You will participate in an equally shared “out of hours” roster.

We are looking for an experienced vet with strong work ethic, excellent relationship building-skills and a commitment to providing exceptional care.

Your skillset includes:

  • Hospital Consultations: Overseeing both first opinion and referral cases, which includes conducting advanced diagnostics for referrals, investigating poor performance, providing intensive care for hospitalized patients, and managing neonatal foals during the breeding season.
  • Ambulatory Service: Providing high-quality routine and emergency care.
  • Additional attributes: Reproductive or sports medicine focus is beneficial.
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science or equivalent (registrable in Victoria).
