FIFO Veterinarian Opportunity | Harbour City & Boyne Tannum Vet Clinics
Gladstone, QLD | 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off | Flights, accommodation and vehicle provided
Harbour City and Boyne Tannum Veterinary Clinics are two well-established, community-focused practices located just 20 minutes apart in sunny Central Queensland. Together, they offer a rare FIFO opportunity where you can become a valued part of two closely connected teams, enjoy the variety of working across multiple clinic environments, and make a meaningful contribution to regional veterinary care.
Both clinics are purpose-built and well equipped with modern diagnostics, including digital X-ray, ultrasound, in-house IDEXX labs and dedicated surgical suites. With experienced veterinarians, skilled nursing teams and a shared commitment to quality care, you will be supported to manage a diverse and rewarding caseload while working collaboratively across both sites.
Following the successful completion of our previous FIFO campaign, we’re seeking an experienced small animal veterinarian (3+ years) to join the team in a FIFO capacity across Harbour City and Boyne Tannum, with a third location on the way.
This is a standout opportunity for a veterinarian who wants the freedom to maintain their home base, the structure of a predictable FIFO roster, and the earning potential of a regional role without stepping away from high-quality medicine, continuity of care or a connected clinical team.

The Opportunity

Role Details
During each rotation, you will manage a varied small animal caseload including consultations, diagnostics and surgery, with the equipment, systems and clinical support needed to deliver a high standard of care across both practices.

Surrounded by beaches, waterways and national parks, it’s an ideal base for outdoor enthusiasts — from boating and fishing to hiking, camping and exploring the nearby Southern Great Barrier Reef. The region enjoys a warm climate year-round and a relaxed pace of life, while still providing all the essentials of a large regional centre, including excellent schools, healthcare, dining and retail.

Interested? Talk to us about a clinic visit to meet both teams, or we can organise a short locum trial so you can experience the clinics, the roster and the regional lifestyle before committing.
