Gippsland Veterinary Hospital is a long established, progressive mixed practice with a strong reputation for quality medicine and a genuinely supportive team culture. We are seeking an experienced veterinarian with orthopaedic interests who is looking to make a long term move into a well-resourced, stable clinic where high standards of care and team collaboration are genuinely valued.

About the Practice

Our practice includes our main hospital in Maffra, the Sale Vet Centre, and the purpose-built Gippsland Equine Hospital. This multi-site structure provides variety, clinical depth, and excellent support across disciplines.

The Maffra hospital is a modern, well-equipped facility with four consult rooms, a dedicated dentistry room, advanced imaging including CT, a large surgical theatre and treatment area, plus hydrotherapy and rehabilitation services. We service a loyal and diverse client base. With experienced veterinarians and high-quality equipment across all sites, we manage the majority of cases in house and refer very little.

The Position

This role is ideal for a veterinarian with surgical interests wanting to settle into a respected regional practice and build a sustainable, rewarding career.

• Full-time or flexible part-time position with a shared on-call roster
• Immediate start

About you

We are looking for a skilled and confident veterinarian who enjoys working as part of a team while providing high standards of care for their patients and support and mentorship to colleagues.

• Proficient in orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery, including fracture & MLP repair, TPLO/TTA and BOAS
• Additional surgical training or qualifications highly regarded
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and retain lasting client relationships
