Hope Island Central Vet

Veterinarians

Gold Coast, QLD

Opening October 2026

There are plenty of veterinary jobs offering flexibility.

Very few offer the chance to combine that flexibility with the excitement of building a brand-new clinic from day one.

Opening in October 2026, Hope Island Central Vet is a purpose-built companion animal clinic being established in one of the Gold Coast’s fastest growing family communities. We are building our entire founding team and are looking for veterinarians who want to be part of creating something special while enjoying genuine flexibility in how they work.

Whether you’re seeking a full-time role, part time hours that work around family commitments, or a fresh start in a supportive new environment, we’d love to hear from you.

This is an opportunity to join a clinic before the doors open and help shape the culture, standards and future direction of the practice from day one.

Hope Island Central Vet is being purpose built with both clients and team members in mind.

The clinic will feature contemporary consulting rooms, modern diagnostic equipment, efficient workflows and a welcoming environment designed to support high quality veterinary care.

We will open with a team of veterinarians, supported by a strong nursing and client care team, ensuring collaboration, case discussion and support are always available.

Because we’re building the clinic from the beginning, every member of the team will have the opportunity to contribute ideas and help create the kind of workplace they want to be part of.

Hope Island has become one of the Gold Coast’s most popular residential communities, attracting families, professionals and retirees seeking a relaxed coastal lifestyle.

With beautiful waterways, parks, walking tracks, schools, cafés, shopping precincts and easy access to both Brisbane and the Gold Coast, the area offers an outstanding lifestyle both inside and outside of work.

As the local community continues to grow, so does the opportunity to establish a trusted veterinary clinic that becomes an important part of family life for local pet owners.

We know that great veterinarians are looking for different things at different stages of their careers.

Some are seeking leadership opportunities.

Some are building families.

Some want to reduce their hours while continuing to practise high quality medicine.

Others are looking for a workplace that provides support, collaboration and balance.

We’re open to creating roles that work for the right people.

Associate veterinarian roles are available on both a full time and part time basis, and we’re committed to building rosters that support both the needs of the clinic and the lives of our team members.

Clinical Lead Veterinarian: Full Time $140,000 to $160,000/annum plus super depending on skills and experience.

This is a rare opportunity to establish and lead a clinic from the very beginning while remaining actively involved in clinical work. You’ll play a key role in shaping the culture, mentoring the team and influencing the future direction of the practice.

Associate Veterinarians: Full Time or Part Time $90,000 to $140,000/annum plus super depending on skills and experience.

We’re seeking experienced veterinarians who enjoy high quality companion animal medicine, working collaboratively and building strong relationships with clients and colleagues. Those returning to the workforce are also strongly encouraged to apply.

While Hope Island Central Vet will have its own local identity, you’ll have the support of the wider Apiam Animal Health network behind you.

Before opening, all team members will participate in a structured induction program designed to help you build relationships, understand the business and feel confident from day one.

You’ll also have access to mentorship, professional development, leadership support and a network of clinics and experienced veterinarians across Australia.
