Bunbury Animal Hospital has been serving the Bunbury community for more than 50 years and has built a strong reputation for providing high quality veterinary care. We have a dedicated team of veterinarians and nurses, a loyal client base and a clear commitment to delivering excellent medical and surgical care in a friendly and compassionate environment.

Bunbury Animal Hospital includes both a companion animal hospital and a separate equine hospital. Our companion animal hospital is a large purpose-built veterinary facility equipped with DR radiography, in house laboratory, iM3 dental equipment and dental radiography, endoscopy, ultrasound and orthopaedic equipment.

About the Position

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced companion veterinarian ready to take the next step in their career and make a genuine impact.

As Clinical Lead, you will work closely with the management team to provide clinical leadership across our companion animal hospital. You’ll continue to enjoy hands on clinical work while also leading, mentoring and developing a team of veterinarians and nurses.

Whether you are already leading a team or you are an experienced senior veterinarian ready to step into your first formal leadership position, you’ll have the support, mentorship and autonomy to grow as a leader while maintaining a strong clinical focus. You’ll play a key role in driving clinical excellence, strengthening team capability and ensuring our patients and clients continue to receive outstanding care.

About You

We are looking for a veterinarian who is ready to lead from the front.

You will bring:

  • 6+ years’ experience in companion animal practice
  • Strong medical and surgical skills with excellent clinical judgement
  • A passion for delivering high quality patient care and exceptional client experiences
  • A genuine interest in mentoring and developing veterinarians and nurses
  • The ability to build positive team culture and lead with empathy, accountability and professionalism
  • Previous leadership experience is highly regarded, however we would also welcome applications from experienced senior veterinarians looking to step into their first formal leadership role

Remuneration and Benefits

  • Base salary of $170,000 to $190,000 plus superannuation, commensurate with experience
  • $10,000 relocation assistance
  • Retention bonuses designed to reward your commitment over the first few years in the role
  • One return flight to the East Coast each year

  • Three months’ accommodation assistance to help you get established in Bunbury
