About Gympie

Gympie Veterinary Services has been a trusted part of the local community for more than 40 years, delivering high-quality veterinary care across the region. As the practice has grown, so too has our commitment to investing in our people, facilities and services.

Our recently renovated hospital reflects our commitment to continuous improvement, providing a modern and progressive environment where both our team and patients can thrive. We are always looking for ways to enhance the care we provide, with a CT scanner due to be installed in the coming months as the next exciting step in our clinical journey. Combined with our branch clinics in Tin Can Bay and Murgon, you’ll be joining a practice that embraces innovation, supports professional growth and continues to invest in the future of veterinary medicine.

We are fortunate to have a loyal and engaged client base who value the care we provide. Supported by modern equipment and an experienced team, we are able to diagnose and manage the vast majority of cases in-house, offering excellent continuity of care for our patients.

Why Join Gympie

This is a rare opportunity to join a large and supportive mixed animal practice with a team of 13 veterinarians and a highly skilled group of qualified and registered veterinary nurses. You’ll be surrounded by experienced professionals who genuinely enjoy collaborating and supporting one another.

While we are a mixed practice, we have made this an opportunity for a veterinarian seeking a dedicated small animal focus, particularly in consulting and general practice.

Gympie offers an ideal balance between metropolitan and rural practice. As a regional city, we are often the first point of contact for urgent and emergency presentations. This provides valuable exposure to emergency medicine and surgery without the demands of a dedicated ECC environment. You’ll gain experience managing a diverse caseload while always having the support of colleagues around you. When emergencies arrive, it’s a genuine team effort, with experienced vets and nurses working together to achieve the best outcomes.

Outside of work, you’ll enjoy the lifestyle benefits of the Gympie region, with beautiful countryside, affordable living, and easy access to the Sunshine Coast and the stunning beaches of Rainbow Beach and Noosa.
