Clermont veterinary surgery is a well-established mixed practice clinic who have been proudly serving our local community and surrounding district for over 45 years. We’re on the hunt for a vet nurse to join our friendly, down-to-earth team in a true mixed practice where no two days are the same. Located in the heart of central Queensland’s cattle country a friendly rural community with a strong sporting, farming and equine culture.

About Us:

• Genuine mixed practice, with caseload approximately 35% equine, 35% small animal, 30% cattle
• Fully-equipped clinic offering 24-hour emergency care, surgery and dentistry
• Ambulatory equine and mixed practice services
• A supportive, close-knit team with 100+ years of combined experience

About the Role:

• Full-time position 76 hours/fortnight, for immediate start
• 1 in 4 weekends + 1 weeknight/week on-call
• Hands on nursing role working across our services – including administering medication, anaesthetic preparation and monitoring and supporting our veterinary and reception team, in clinic and on the road 

What We’re Looking For:

• Cert IV or vet tech qualification highly regarded
• Ideally 2 years minimum experience in small or mixed animal nursing
• Positive, can-do attitude with strong communication skills
• Strict attention to detail, record keeping skills and able to follow instructions
• A genuine team player
