The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse who thrives in a supportive team and is motivated by delivering excellent patient care. This is a full-time or part-time role, ideally 3-4 days per week and assistance with the after-hours roster. This position will be a hands on nursing role moving through nursing, reception and consulting shifts across the week.

Day‑to‑day you will

• Provide compassionate inpatient care
• Support surgical and anaesthesia workflows
• Champion patient comfort
• Deliver client care with kindness
• Keep the clinic humming
• Contribute to protocols and quality improvement

Head Nurse pathway

If leadership appeals, we would love to discuss a head veterinary nurse role for you in the clinic. This would involve:

• Mentoring and onboarding nurses.
• Roster input, workflow optimisation, and setting nursing standards.
• Leading patient‑care initiatives (comfort measures, pain management, hospital rounds).
• Collaborating with the leadership team on culture, communication, and continuous improvement.

What you’ll bring

• Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) and 1+ years’ experience in a companion‑animal hospital (mixed experience welcomed).
• A calm, kind presence with strong communication skills.
• A collaborative mindset and a proactive approach to helping teammates.
• Confidence with hospital and surgical nursing, and enthusiasm for continual learning.
