Singleton & Branxton Veterinary Hospitals are seeking a full-time veterinary nurse to join our growing team, for an immediate start. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate nurse who enjoys hands-on nursing, high-quality patient care, and working in a busy mixed animal practice.

Located in the beautiful Hunter Valley, our hospitals have been caring for the community’s pets, horses and livestock for more than 28 years. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding veterinary care while fostering a positive and supportive workplace culture.

This is a true hands-on nursing role where you will be actively involved in all aspects of patient care across surgery, hospital, pathology, treatment and reception.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Surgical nursing and anaesthetic monitoring
  • Patient admissions, treatment and discharge care
  • Placement of IV catheters and fluid therapy setup
  • Collection and processing of laboratory samples
  • Monitoring and caring for hospitalised patients
  • Assisting veterinarians with consultations and procedures
  • Providing exceptional service and support to clients
  • Reception and administrative duties as required

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
  • Minimum 1 year of veterinary nursing experience
  • Strong anaesthetic monitoring and patient care skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for animal care and client service
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to continue learning
  • EzyVet, IDEXX labs and IM3 dental equipment experience highly regarded
