Fraser Coast Veterinary Services is a long established, well respected small animal clinic in Maryborough, QLD, with a branch clinic in Howard. We are proud of our strong reputation in the local community and our genuinely supportive, close knit team culture.

We are currently looking for a friendly and organised veterinary receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis for around 36 hours per fortnight.

About the role

This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys working with people, animals and a busy clinic team. You will be the first point of contact for our clients and will play an important role in creating a warm, professional and welcoming experience while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Greeting clients and patients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answering phones, managing enquiries and booking appointments
  • Processing payments and maintaining accurate client and patient records
  • Supporting veterinarians and nurses with daily clinic administration and workflow

About you

We are looking for someone who is reliable, approachable and able to stay calm and organised in a busy environment. Previous veterinary reception or animal care experience is preferred, but training can be provided for the right person.

  • Previous experience in a veterinary or medical reception role highly regarded
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • Confidence using computers and learning clinic software systems
  • A positive, team-focused attitude
  • The ability to multitask and prioritise in a busy reception environment
  • A genuine care for clients, patients and the wider team
