About Us

Golden Plains Animal Hospital is a purpose-built veterinary clinic in Bannockburn, Victoria, located 20km from Geelong and 90km from Melbourne. Our clinic features dedicated dog and cat consult rooms and wards, along with the equipment needed to provide high-quality medicine for our loyal clients and local community.

You will join a welcoming, highly skilled team that enjoys working together and supporting each other. Our reception team plays an important role in creating a warm, organised and reassuring experience for clients while our clinical team cares for their pets.

About the Position

We are seeking a permanent full-time Receptionist to join our friendly team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, loves animals, and takes pride in creating a calm, welcoming and organised front-of-house experience for clients and their pets.

  • Permanent full-time receptionist position.
  • Providing outstanding customer service over the phone and face-to-face.
  • Welcoming clients and their pets to the clinic.
  • Managing appointments for clinical staff.
  • Liaising with vets and vet nurses to support efficient daily scheduling.
  • Processing invoices and payments.
  • Maintaining a neat and tidy reception and waiting area.

About You

  • Customer service experience is preferred; however, we are happy to train the right person.
  • Experience in a veterinary clinic or the animal care industry advantageous.
  • A genuine affinity for animals and an understanding of the care and compassion they need.
  • A genuine love of helping clients, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a mature approach to challenging conversations.
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Computer, EFTPOS and banking skills are required. EzyVet knowledge highly regarded.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
  • A positive approach to work, a team-focused mindset and a welcoming, approachable manner with clients.
