That’s why we’re excited to introduce a dedicated Veterinary Technologist position as part of the founding team at Hope Island Central Vet.
Opening on 30 November 2026, Hope Island Central Vet is a brand-new purpose-built companion animal clinic being established in one of the Gold Coast’s fastest growing communities.
This is a rare opportunity to help establish a role that remains relatively uncommon within Australian private practice while becoming part of a clinic designed around collaboration, community and high-quality patient care.
A Community Clinic Built for Modern Veterinary Care
Hope Island Central Vet has been purpose built from the ground up, combining contemporary design, advanced equipment and thoughtfully designed workflows to support excellent veterinary care.
We’re creating a welcoming, community focused clinic where strong client relationships, teamwork and a positive workplace culture are at the heart of everything we do.
We’ll open with a close-knit team of veterinarians, nurses, client care professionals and a Veterinary Technologist, all working together to create something special from day one.
Advanced Imaging. Local Support. Endless Opportunity.
One of the most exciting features of Hope Island Central Vet will be its advanced imaging capability, including an onsite CT machine.
This will provide expanded diagnostic and treatment opportunities for patients while creating exciting professional development opportunities for our veterinary team.
The clinic will work closely alongside Sanctuary Cove Vet and Ormeau Vet, creating a collaborative local network where veterinarians, nurses and support teams can share knowledge, discuss cases and support one another.
Together, these clinics will provide an outstanding blend of community focused care, advanced diagnostics and clinical collaboration across the northern Gold Coast.
About the Role
Working alongside our veterinarians and nursing team, you’ll apply advanced scientific knowledge, clinical reasoning and technical skills to support patient care, clinical efficiency and evidence based veterinary practice.
You will be involved in:
- Advanced patient monitoring and anaesthesia support
- Diagnostic laboratory procedures
- Imaging and diagnostic support
- Medical and surgical patient care
- Client education and communication
- Clinical protocols and workflow improvement
- Supporting evidence based veterinary practice
- Mentoring and developing technical nursing skills within the team
This is not simply a senior nursing position.
It is an opportunity to help establish one of the first dedicated Veterinary Technologist roles within our companion animal clinic network and contribute to a progressive model of veterinary care that recognises and values advanced technical expertise.
About You
You will have:
- A Bachelor of Veterinary Technology or equivalent qualification
- Strong clinical and technical skills
- Experience in diagnostics, patient monitoring and imaging
- Excellent communication skills
- A passion for learning and evidence-based practice
