A well-known, long-established veterinary clinic in the Samford Valley region is seeking an experienced veterinary nurse/receptionist. This hands-on role suits someone who is confident in clinical and surgical settings and comfortable engaging with clients at reception.
Why this role
We’re seeking a part time or full-time veterinary nurse/receptionist, but we’re flexible with hours and days for the right candidate. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced nurse who thrives in both hospital and surgical settings and enjoys client interaction at reception. We are also happy to employ a confident junior veterinary nurse who is ready to grow.
- You’ll be involved in:
- Monitoring anaesthetics and assisting in surgical procedures
- Pre- and post-operative care
- Running diagnostics (Idexx blood/urine machines)
- Dental and radiology procedures
- IV placement, fluid therapy, and medication administration
- Patient admissions and discharges
- Reception duties and client communication
About you
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or Veterinary Technician Degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience with strong clinical skills
- Registered Veterinary Nurses highly regarded
- Passionate about patient care and contributing to a positive team culture
- Keen to continue learning and growing professionally
