Torquay North Vet is a modern, purpose-built clinic located in the beautiful beachside community of Torquay, home of the iconic Bells Beach Rip Curl Pro.

Established in 2021, our spacious facility includes:

  • 3 consult rooms + dedicated grieving room

We are seeking an experienced veterinary nurse (part-time or full-time) to complement our close-knit team. We typically have 2–3 vets per day, dedicated reception support, and maintain a 1:1 or 1:2 vet-to-nurse ratio.

This is a hands-on, varied role suited to a confident all-rounder who enjoys both clinical and client-facing work.

Ideally, you will have 5+ years’ experience.
Candidates with fewer years of experience are welcome to apply if they can demonstrate strong upskilling and commitment to ongoing CPD. Administration or business management skills will be viewed favourably.

You are a passionate, capable nurse who:

  • Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or Veterinary Technician Degree (essential)
  • Has well-rounded nursing skills, including:
    • Openness to be part of team consulting (including using our AI scribing tool)
    • Performing nurse consults (anal glands, nail trims, weight management, bandage changes, triage)
    • COHATs (dental x-rays, grading, scale & polish)
    • Anaesthetic monitoring
    • Solo x-rays under sedation using positioning aids
    • Ear cleans (consult and under anaesthesia)
    • Reception and administration duties
  • Practices fear-free handling and maintains high standards of patient care
  • Is comfortable with sole-charge nursing
  • Enjoys mentoring trainee nurses
  • Has a proactive, can-do attitude and jumps in where needed
  • Is committed to positive team culture, growth, and continuous improvement
  • Registered Veterinary Nurses are highly regarded.
